FishAct published the catalogue „The plunder of the sea – facts and demands“, which is raising the most important demands on policy makers for a positive change in European ocean politics.

It was officially presented to the German party of the Greens („Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen“) on October 7th, to encourage them to stand up for better and more sustainable ocean politics in Germany and Europe in the future.

The documents lists 11 major action points, that will be of crucial importance for the future of  healthy oceans and fish stocks: effective fisheries enforcement and penalties, abolition of harmful fisheries subsidies, a ban of destructive fishing methods such as bottom trawling and many more.
